Our story starts at the bottom of a garden in Galway, where the grass turns into reeds and the reeds turn into water. In those reeds, inside an old teacup, lives a field mouse called Pip. Pip has never been anywhere. She has never wanted to. And then, this morning, something bumps against her doorstep. It is a boat, folded from a page of newspaper, and inside it is a note that says just two words. Come quickly. Pull your blanket close, because Pip is about to make a very big decision.
