About the show

Pit Wall Radio is a weekly Formula 1 show for fans who want to understand the decisions behind the race. Rashid Al Mazrouei, a mechanical engineer who worked four seasons in trackside tyre operations before moving to motorsport broadcasting in Abu Dhabi, spends 40 to 50 minutes after each Grand Prix explaining the strategy calls, the tyre choices, the engineering changes and the radio messages that actually decided the result. Between races, episodes cover how a floor generates downforce, why a one-stop beats a two-stop at some circuits, what a race engineer does on Saturday night, and the stories of the Bahrain, Jeddah, Qatar and Abu Dhabi rounds from people who build them. Co-host Emily Hartigan, a former team press officer from England, brings the paddock side. The tone is informed and calm, with no driver worship and no manufactured feuds. For fans who watch the timing screen, newcomers who want to catch up, and anyone who ever asked why they pitted.
