Rent, Rice and Rainy Days is a weekly personal finance show from Kuala Lumpur for people who get paid once a month and need it to last until the next one. Farah Zulkifli is a fee-only financial planner, which means she does not sell anything, and she spends each 30 minute episode on one question a real listener has sent in. How big should an emergency fund be when your parents also depend on you. Is it worse to carry a car loan or a credit card balance. What do you actually do with your first bonus. Farah answers in plain language with numbers worked out loud, and brings in a guest, often a listener, every few weeks to talk about what they tried.
