Same Sky, Different Doors is a fortnightly conversation show recorded in Singapore, a city where a mosque, a Hindu temple, a church and a Buddhist monastery can share one street. Priya Ramaswamy grew up Hindu, married into a Catholic family, and spent nine years running an interfaith youth programme that put teenagers of five religions in the same room for a weekend. Each 45-minute episode seats two guests of different faiths, a rabbi and an imam, a Sikh nurse and a Buddhist nun, a Pentecostal pastor and a Taoist medium, and asks them the same ordinary questions: what do you do when you wake up, what did your grandmother believe, what do people get wrong about you, what do you envy in each other's tradition. Nobody is there to convert anybody. The show is for the curious, the mixed-faith family, and anyone who has a neighbour they have never asked.
