The Group Chat Has Fallen

A birthday venue vote splits a 14 person group chat into factions, the weather app lies three days running, and a listener's week involving a stolen bin gets the full treatment.

About the show

Grand, So: The Week is two friends from Cork, Aoife Brennan and her flatmate of nine years, sitting at a kitchen table every Sunday night and going through the week like it owes them money. Nothing is safe: the news, the weather app that promised sun, the group chat that split over a birthday venue, the man at the gym who narrates his own sets. Aoife steers and keeps the running tally of who had the worse week, and the loser has to do the dishes on air. Episodes are about 45 minutes, unedited apart from the kettle, and come out Monday morning for anyone who needs to hear that someone else's week was also a bit much. Listeners send their own week in voice notes and the best one gets roasted with love in a segment called Your Week, Our Problem. It is for people who like their comedy conversational, Irish, and slightly damp.
