Hello World at Forty is for anyone who opened a coding tutorial, saw the word function, and closed the tab. Marcus Odhiambo ran a hardware shop in Kisumu until he was 38, taught himself Python from library books and free courses, and at 43 shipped his first paid app for a dairy cooperative. He now talks weekly, for about 35 minutes, to other late starters and to the patient teachers who got them through: a 52-year-old accountant who automated her own job, a former truck mechanic writing firmware, a bootcamp instructor who explains why adults learn code differently. Each episode has a short, listen-only explainer of one concept, loops, variables, what an API actually is, in language a shopkeeper would use, and a segment called This Week I Was Stuck where listeners share the bug that nearly made them quit. No laptop needed while you listen.
