About the show

Her Side of the Scoreboard is a weekly show about women's sport that treats it as sport first and a cause second. Chidinma Okafor, a former Super Falcons midfielder who played in Nigeria, Sweden and the United States before becoming a journalist, hosts 40 to 50 minute episodes built around interviews with athletes, coaches, agents and administrators across football, athletics, basketball, boxing, cricket and tennis. She asks about the tactics and the training as much as the pay gaps and the politics, because the players she talks to want both. Regular segments cover the African women's football scene, the business of the new leagues, and the stories behind the results you saw. Chidinma is direct, funny, and allergic to pity. The show is for fans of women's sport who want serious coverage, for young players and their parents, and for anyone curious about who is winning, why, and what it took to get on the pitch at all.
