A Confident Lecture on Cheese

Second episode and the listeners have sent subjects. Ravi Chandra draws cheese and speaks for three minutes without pausing or being correct. Teams this week: Ravi and Lisa Mackay against Jen Doyle and newcomer Ayesha Khan.

  • Headlines We Misread: a lighthouse story that one panellist thought was about a lighthouse keeper's cat
  • What Is This Noise: a stapler, identified as a small horse
  • Pointless Expertise: Ravi on cheese, including a cheese he invented live
  • Rant Round: Ayesha on teaspoons that go missing from offices, and where they go
  • Callum attempts to add up the scores and gives up

Next week's Pointless Expertise subject is already chosen and it is lifts.

Transcript
Hello and welcome back to Points Mean Nothing. I am Callum Fraser, the scoring remains fictional, and tonight we welcome a new panellist, Ayesha Khan, who has been told the rules and did not believe them. She joins Jen Doyle against Ravi Chandra and Lisa Mackay. The listeners sent in subjects for Pointless Expertise this week and Ravi has drawn cheese. Ravi knows nothing about cheese. He will speak for three minutes anyway, and by the end he will have invented one. We also have a headline about a lighthouse that went very wrong on one side of the room, a noise that is definitely not a horse, and a Rant Round on the subject of office teaspoons and where they all go. Buzzers ready, pints down. You are listening on Witspeak Podcasts!

The Bus Timetable Is a Work of Fiction

Two teams misread the week's headlines, a sound effect is confidently identified as a goose, and the Rant Round produces a 60 second masterpiece about the number 44 bus.
