About the show

Rodrigo Esparza has been in a relationship with a woman who lives in Lisbon for three years, from Guadalajara, and he has strong views about airport goodbyes. Two Time Zones, One Calendar is a fortnightly interview show about long-distance relationships: couples separated by visas, by jobs, by military postings, by a parent who needs care in another country, by the simple fact that two careers do not always fit in one city. Each episode is 35 to 45 minutes and features one couple, interviewed separately and then together, on how they handle time zones, jealousy, money spent on flights, the question of who moves, and the decision to end it or close the gap. Rodrigo asks the practical questions everyone wants to ask: how often do you call, do you share a calendar, what do you do about birthdays. It is for anyone loving someone through a screen, and for the friends who keep asking when one of you will move.
