The Villa Group Chat Has a Bin Policy

A listener in Arabian Ranches sent Rania the pinned message from her compound group chat. It is 19 rules long and 11 of them are about bins. Rania and guest Amira Saleh read it like scripture.

  • Rule seven, which concerns the angle of the bin lid, and the man who proposed it
  • The brunch where a table of eight ended up at the chocolate fountain for different reasons
  • Amira on the taxi driver who names your building before you finish the address
  • Listener story: a neighbour returned a parcel with a review of the packaging
  • Rania makes a bin confession under protest

Next week: the mall in August, where Dubai goes to walk.

Transcript
Hello hello, it is Rania Haddad, this is Visa Run and Brunch, and today I am holding a document. A listener in Arabian Ranches sent me the pinned message from her compound group chat. Nineteen rules. Eleven of them about bins. There is a rule about the angle of the lid. There is a man who proposed it, and he has a title now. Amira Saleh is here with me and we are going to read the whole thing out loud with the respect it demands. Then Amira tells us about the taxi driver who said, ah yes, the building with the broken gate, before she finished the address, and we revisit a brunch where eight people ended up at the chocolate fountain for eight different reasons. Close your bin lid at the correct angle. You are listening on Witspeak Podcasts!
