The Aunty Interrogation Protocol

Tobenna maps every stage of a Nigerian aunty's questioning at a wedding, from the handshake to the surprise phone photo of someone's daughter, with listener voice notes from survivors of Christmas.

About the show

Nobody Told Lagos is a weekly solo stand-up hour from Tobenna Eze, recorded in a flat in Yaba with the generator humming in the background. Each episode takes one small piece of Nigerian life and refuses to let it go: the aunty who asks when you are marrying before she says hello, the bank app that works only when you have no money, the danfo conductor who has invented a new fare between two bus stops. Tobenna is not here to lecture. He is here to describe what everyone already sees and say the quiet part out loud. Expect a 35 minute set, listener voice notes read on air with full dramatic commitment, and a closing segment called Who Sent You where one listener confesses something embarrassing. It is for anyone who has lived in Lagos, visited Lagos, or has a cousin who will not stop talking about Lagos. New episodes land every Thursday evening, just as the traffic starts.
