About the show

Some nights there is no time for a long story, and some children cannot settle for one anyway. Ten Minutes to Sleepy is exactly what it says: a ten to twelve minute bedtime episode built for children aged three to seven, told by Teresa Dimaculangan in a low, unhurried voice. Each episode opens with two minutes of slow breathing and a small body scan for little listeners, then one gentle original story about a sleepy animal, a quiet town or a star that cannot find its place, and finishes with a slow count down from ten. Stories are set in the Philippines and around the world, with the occasional Tagalog lullaby line explained in English. New episodes come out Monday to Friday, so there is always a fresh one for a rough night. Parents who are also exhausted report falling asleep before the count reaches four, which Teresa considers a success.
