About the show

Nobody warns you that adult friendship takes scheduling, and that some friendships end not with a fight but with a group chat that slowly stops. Priya Hallworth hosts this fortnightly show about friendship after university: making new friends in a new city at 38, being the only single one left, friends who became parents and vanished, the friend you outgrew, the friend who outgrew you, and how to say you miss someone without sounding needy. Each episode is 30 to 40 minutes and pairs Priya's own story with one guest, usually a listener rather than an expert, telling theirs. There is a recurring segment where Priya calls someone she has lost touch with, live, with their permission, and finds out what happened. It is made for people who have plenty of contacts and not enough people to call at 2am, which Priya reckons is most of us. Warm, practical, occasionally awkward, and recorded in a flat in Leeds.
